New Council - New Opportunities

After the Local Government elections early in September, Wagga Wagga has nine newly elected Councillors, comprising six incumbents and three new faces.
 
The new, younger Council promises to be more progressive on a range of social, recreational and livability issues affecting our City.
 
Several Councillors have expressed a wish to better connect Council with community, and for the two to work more closely together to create a better, more vibrant city for the future.
 
That’s great news for the Wagga Rail Trail.
 
Newly elected Mayor, Greg Conkey, is a firm supporter of the trail and believes it is a “no brainer” for our City. Early meetings with Greg indicate willingness for Council and our Committee to work more closely, so that together, we can make the trail a reality.
